Our kids can earn money for doing work around the house. Jonathan is a powerhouse. With his older 2 brothers gone visiting cousins in AZ, he cashed in today:
Pull weeds $8Detail car $5
Cut grass $10
Babysitting $18.50
Clean out dad's office $12
Garbage $4
Total earned: $57.50
All money earned is split into the following accounts:
10% charity
20% investing
20% savings
50% spending
I tell my kids that if they can learn to live on 50% of their income, they will become wealthy before age 30.
